The Crop Report | Experiencing the magic of the farm

It’s almost July! Can you believe it? Because I can’t! June has flown by in a flurry with so many great highlights, from hosting the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers conference to throwing down flower style at Red Wing and all our fun pop-ups in between. We have flipped tunnels, planted fields, and enjoyed chatting with folks in the Victory Garden.

The farm is showing just how magical this place is. From the farthest dried production field to the perennial gardens there are so many new and exciting things to discover (and daily shenanigans to witness). While I'm waiting on more sign cards to show up, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to chat with folks and share all the fun knowledge I’ve picked up in the gardens.

Tours have become one of my favorite ways to connect, from farmer tours where I give you my favorite garden hacks and plant recommendations I couldn’t live without, to the harvest tours where we learn about the history, wellness, and benefits of the flowers while we pick a bouquet from our production fields for my new friends to take home.

It’s like inviting y’all to step into the world we share on Facebook, Instagram, and the newsletter but in real life. It’s exactly like you think it is but better. From the crazy costumes, The Lady Monarch giggles, and Rooty sneaking the dogs extra treats, coming to the farm for a tour gives you a step into our lives with all the fun laughter and of course flowers knowledge and support.

From the kids to the college bros I’ve considered it a challenge to find ways of engaging everyone and so far I’m batting 100. There is just something so darn captivating about this farm that I can easily steal the credit for the excitement Mother Nature provides. You should take some time and come to the farm, book a tour and discover just how magical a better life through flowers really can be.

XOXO, Jess
