Planting Madness
Jessica Hall
The rain certainly makes the flowers grow, and after several rounds of coveted moisture, our flower fields are looking better than ever. If you have been waiting for the perfect time to visit the farm, I would highly recommend NOW! I can't get over how good the farm looks. If you want to see rows upon rows of magical flowers, now is the time to come out and soak it all up! From strawflowers to snapdragons, the fields are loaded with blooms to stuff your pick-your-own cups full with.Â

I've seen so many happy folks coming out to pick flowers, and the sweet kids have been telling me all about their adventures along the way. Yesterday, a sweet little girl showed me where she found a baby bunny in the flowers. There is so much wildlife all around us, and it's so much fun to jump into the world and observe.

The high tunnels are nearing the end of our planting madness. You can take a peek inside to see all of our busy work flipping them from spring crops to our highly anticipated fall heirloom chrysanthemum blooms. We have a couple more to tuck into the ground, but that should finish up in the next week or so. We're all glad because the high tunnels quickly reach 110 degrees by mid-morning, making them miserable to work in. We still have mums available for sale at a deal for anyone who comes out to the farm and wants to take a couple home to plant. These big, beefy plants are available for self-serve for $5.00 a plant all summer long, so make sure you grab a few when you come out to pick a cupful of flowers!

We are gearing up for one of our most anticipated workshops of the season next month. TJ McGrath will be returning, but this time we are making it a two-day event and bringing in none other than the celebrated Dee Hall to help educate on the values of designing with natives in an English garden style vibe. It's going to be magical, it's going to be educational, it's going to be unforgettable. Are you coming?!? You certainly don't want to miss this! Tickets are super limited, so grab one now before you experience serious FOMO..

Summer is passing in a flash; I hope you carve out some time to come soak up some sun with us and stop to smell the flowers too.
P.S. We have a new winery in the area that just opened up with a soft opening! You should totally check them out if you're in the area and looking for a drink!Â
