I can’t quite capture, even in pictures, how incredible the farm looks right now. With the mild temperatures lingering, we’re able to fully appreciate the final blooms of the season in both our fields and gardens. It’s a real treat to see late-season strawflower, early orlaya, and bells all weaving together with the rich colors of chrysanthemums.
The tapestry of blooms is stunning, but what really fills my farmer's heart with pride is the canvas upon which they grow. Our amazing farm team has successfully turned house five back into production after a year of soil rejuvenation. It’s now carefully planted with our spring anemones and ranunculus, setting the stage for next season’s beauty.
While my team of ladies knows how to get things done, this fall we’ve expanded our crew to include someone new—meet Aaron! After a few years spent crafting frogs for Floral Genius, Aaron joined us this fall and has been instrumental in tackling some of our larger projects. He’s helped winterize the dahlias, moved an unbelievable amount of leaves, cleaned our peonies and perennials, and assisted with laying down fabric for tunnel 5.
