It’s June, and it finally feels like summer around here. We had some really cool days that were a welcome relief, followed by a LOT of rain, which the plants thoroughly enjoyed– but so did the weeds. So the big chore on the farm has been weeding through our fields and gardens to find the plants again. It’s like the weeds grow faster than the flowers sometimes, and before we can get around to it, they are already 5 feet tall, no joke, in some areas!

While we work to get the weeds pulled and take advantage of the fact that the rain made the ground extra soft, we have been enjoying some new flower faces on the farm, like our beloved perennial crops of Veronica, Yarrow, and Astilbe. These beautiful blooms show up for us reliably each year after all the hustle and bustle of peony season and help us fill bouquets and weddings galore with some extra razzle-dazzle.

Man, have I seen some real razzle-dazzle come across the design table lately. Our weddings have been show-stopping! If you know of anyone getting married or looking to put on a party, please send them our way for unforgettable blooms at an affordable price. We help create magic with fresh blooms every single time and it makes us all so happy to play such an important part in celebrations of all kinds.

The farm has such a diverse display of flowers right now, from the coveted perennials to the everlasting statice that just won't stop, and we even spotted the first lisianthus bloom and a few dahlias! It's a great place to stop in and enjoy a pick-your-own cup if you are in the area and looking for something fun to do on these sunny summer days. Come soak up the view while we pull the weeds and enjoy a cup full of flowers to take home!
XOXO, Jess
